KAAN The Fifth Generation Fighter Jet

It is my personal opinion that in Türkiye we have more ‘traitors’ than any other nation. I will elaborate on that thought a bit later. But, I make this statement in reference to the event that occurred on the 21st of February, 2024 when Turkiye inaugurated its first fifth generation fighter jet in a flawless thirteen minute flight, from takeoff to landing.

There are only three other nations in the world who have produced fifth generation fighter jets- the U.S., Russia and China. Both South Korea and Japan are still working on their jets, neither of which have successfully flown yet. South Korea did a brief flight, but they had help from the U.S.

The Turkish jet, named KAAN, made world-wide headlines on February 21. With its successful flight it became the fourth nation to manage such technology. Mind you, to build a fifth-generation jet including the jet engine is more difficult that the making of an atomic bomb.

The Turkish jet’s name, known as TF-X KAAN, is written in Turkish as Kagan and there is small arch at the top of letter ‘g.’ KAAN means Kings of Kings in Turkish mythology. This aircraft certainly lives up to its name due to its design which is fifth generation plus. In the future other versions will have sixth generation capabilities.

When the KAAN is eventually released to the Turkish Air Force and is airborne it will have six other drones under its command. The previous fourth generation aircraft do have such things as dog fight capabilities that the fifth-generation jets won’t need including engagements. This is because it will be flown with the help of Artificial Intelligence.

The reason the world media went wild and gave such headlines to KAAN is because the Turks managed such technology in a very short period of time. The KAAN project began in earnest in 2016 and, as mentioned above, the inaugural flight occurred just days ago. That is less than seven years’ time. In contrast, work on the F-35 jet began in 1995 and took 25 years to develop.

How on earth did the Turkish engineers manage to develop such a high-tech jet in less than seven years? That was the question everyone was asking. Part of the answer is that these dedicated engineers and technicians had years of accumulated know how from assembling the F-16 fighter jets, as well as performing the maintenance. In addition, Turkiye was producing the F-35 joint strike jet’s parts; 935 of them including the fuselage. That is thirty years of “Know How.”

Delving a bit further back in history, during Ataturk’s time the aircraft industry was started as a partnership with Germany. However, it was ultimately shut down due to U.S. pressure- “we’ll give you aircraft for free, so stop trying to develop your own.” In addition, there was the condition that 200 million dollars would be forthcoming from the Marshall Fund.

Fast forward to the present. In the makeup of the current KAAN prototype jet, the aircraft is nearly 100% the work of the Turkish engineers. The only parts that are currently NOT Turkish made include the two F-16 fighter jet engines and the ejection seat, which was purchased from UK. The Turkish company, TEI Turkish Aerospace Industries, is the primary developer of the project and they are planning to deliver twenty KAAN fighter jets to the military by 2028. There is also a company named “KALE” who has partnered with the Rolls Royce company to develop the jet engines in Türkiye.

In my opening statement I mention traitors. These ‘traitors’ are comprised of the numerous harsh critics inside Turkiye who are treating this success as if it is nothing and they go so far as to ridicule it.

These critics began with ridiculing the very first KAAN part made by the Turkish engineers. That part was the opening side door that contained armament under its belly. These critics, who write for the newspaper named “Cumhuriyet” (founded by Ataturk), called the part “Kalorifer Ptegi” which when translated means the central heating system in a house. In Turkish it is a put down to say the very least “Who are you fooling? That can’t be an aircraft part.”

When KAAN came out of the hanger these same critics had more harsh comments. They believed that the Turkish engineers installed an electric motor on each wheel of the KAAN jet, therefore the jet moved because of the electric motors at its wheels.

This kind of ridiculing infuriates me personally. These critics are actually uneducated jerks. They have no knowledge of anything mechanical, yet they are ready to critique as if they do. Which makes them sound outright stupid. They also critique because this success was made on Erdogan’s watch.

Erdogan stood up to fierce political pressure from both the U.S. and the EU. So much pressure that not only were there attempts to oust him from his political position, but his life was threatened. Enduring it all, Erdogan shares the the success in the development of KAAN right alongside the Turkish engineers and technicians.

Since Ataturk’s death the Turks have been brainwashed into thinking that it is only the Europeans and Americans who can make successful innovative designs. Sadly, Turks are not aware of this mindset because it has been silently injected into the Turkish conscience.

Recently Turkiye sent, along with three other Europeans, it's very first astronaut to the International Space Station. These same ‘traitors’ were overly critical and referred to the project as Erdogan’s 55-million-dollar space tourism.

How outrages is that? Our astronaut, Alper Gezeroglu, has become a role model to our Turkish youth.

In reality these internal crypto ‘traitors’ are foreign nation spokespersons implanted into Turkish society under the Turkish name. They pretend to follow Ataturk’s vision, but it is only a cover. Their ultimate goal is to divide the nation.

They have also severely ridiculed the fact that Türkiye has a presence in both Libya and Somalia. Türkiye and Somalia recently signed a contract that Turkish naval forces will protect Somali waters extending 30 miles from the shoreline into the Indian Ocean. In return, the agreement states that 30% of the oil and gas obtained will be paid to Türkiye and Turkish oil companies are permitted to explore and drill for oil and natural gas deposits. As for Libya, Turkiye has had a presence there since WWI when Ataturk gained his Colonel title while serving in Libya. Libya wanted to join Türkiye in 1943, but the Globalist powers prevented it.

For centuries, the West (Europe and the U.S.) have been on the African continent. All they have done is to colonize and steal African natural recourses such as minerals, gold, diamonds and other valuable commodities. On top of that the Europeans captured Africans and sold them in the slave markets during the 17th-19th centuries. Even in those periods the Ottoman Empire had no such foreign policies.

When Erdogan went to Somalia, he did so with over 63 million dollars collected from the Turkish people with the goal to start helping Somalians. Turks taught the locals how to farm, how to drill wells for fresh water, and opened hospitals. Turks trained the Somalian military and gave them Bayraktar TB2 to contain the terrorism, which had crippled the country.

Because of the work in Somalia the Turks have become the role model to other African nations. Their intent was not to exploit, but to help improve the lives of all Somalians. It was a win-win for both sides.

This was all so far removed from when the Europeans were there. In particular, the missionaries managed Africans not as human beings, but rather as savages. To get food they were forced to come to the churches where supplies were distributed. In stark contrast, the Turks went to Africa to give out scholarships to the local young people in order to educate them in Türkiye on farming techniques and animal husbandry, and to teach them nursing. During Erdogan’s watch he has made more trips to Africa than any other nation’s leader. Other African nations have been totally surprised that a white man would want to do such positive things for black Africans.

A stark difference from how the west created its dominance over these nations by exploiting colonizing, taking out the treasures from Africa. Then think about the British. They had their “East Indian Company” who colonized India for over 150 years and exploited the country as was done to Africa.

The world is quickly changing in this 21st century. We Turks are learning that the culture of our nation will save us from Imperialist thinking. After Ataturk, the West injected into our culture the belief that we Turks were not able to invent innovative technologies.

During Erdogan’s watch he has continued what Ataturk had started – to teach the Turkish youth how to be confident, to believe in themselves and to believe in our country.

To believe that anything is possible.
