U.S. State Department’s Recommendations on Turkiye
According
to U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, the U.S. should go ahead and
complete the sale of the F-16 fighter jets to Turkiye. The Turks had requested
to buy 40 of the latest F-16 block and 80 of the updated F-16 jets and had already
paid 1.4 billion for the purchase of the F-35. If the sale is not completed the
U.S. would be required to pay back the monies.
It makes
sense and would be the logical thing to do since Turkiye was taken out to the
partnership of the Joint Strike Force. It also it is the same company that
produces the F-35 and the F-16. This would be beneficial to the Turks; not only
do they take their money back from the F-35 deal, but also the F-16 jets would
be assembled in Turkiye as before.
What this
all means is that it would take approximately three years for the F-16 jets to become
part of the Turkish Air Force. Why so long? Because it would take that much
time for the deal to first be cleared through congress and then to build the
jets. What that means is the more the U.S. punishes Turkiye, the more determined
the Turks are to make their own weapons and become more independent from the U.S.
So,
according to the state department, the logic is if the U.S. sells the F-16s to
Turkiye they will be dependent on the U.S. for a few more years. The state
department’s reason is that the Turks have already learned to manufacture F-16
blocks under license from Lockheed Martin; meaning the Turks are becoming
independent of the U.S. even if we punish them severely with military
sanctions. So why not make them more dependent to us a few more years?
However,
the Turks have already designed on their own a prototype 5th generation fighter
jet called TFX that will be coming out of hangar next year and they are
planning to have the TFX flying by the year 2025.
Furthermore
their plan is to mass produce the TFX by 2028. Once they do that Turkiye is
totally out of US orbit; no longer subjected to military embargoes and will be an
independent an international player in the world.
Turks were
taken out of the Joint Strike Force conglomerate due to their buying the Russian
air defense system S-400. So now years later the Pentagon is finally coming to
its senses; that it must treat its long time loyal ally with integrity. The loser
here is the U.S. Because of its policy towards Turkiye, the Pentagon is further
distancing Turkiye from its allied orbit.
The U.S. and
EU, especially Germany, are trying to woo Turkiye away from getting closer to
Russia. So far the planned strategy of the US/EU has not worked. Not only has
it not worked, but Turkiye/Russia continue to get closer.
In
chronological order: the U.S./CIA supported the FETO group whose Turkish Air
Force pilot downed a Russian aircraft. Then FETO trained Turkish police gunned
down a Russian ambassador in Ankara in order to have Turkiye and Russia go to
war.
Unfortunately
it only made Turkiye and Russia come closer. This is due to Russian
intelligence who knew it was done by the CIA. And now in the Turkish territory
of the Black Sea there appears to be Russian mines floating in the Turkish side
of the Black Sea in the area where the Turks found large deposits of natural
gas (Sakarya, Black Sea).
Where did
these mines come from? They were released from Romania. Who would do such a
thing? You can guess. The purpose? That Turkiye take the side of Ukraine and
condemn the Russian intrusion of Ukraine.
But Turks
are friendly with both Russia and Ukraine and don’t want to take any sides
which it disconcerting to the Pentagon and the EU. In other words, the Pentagon
and the EU never stopped being concerned by the Turkish/Russian alliance.
The
latest? Whenever Victoria Nuland, Under Secretary of State for Political
Affairs, a Ukrainian Jew and arch enemy of Turkiye, pays a visit she does not
hide her policy positions and chaos ensues.
Currently
Turkiye is coordinating the Russia and Ukraine peace talks. President Erdogan
is trying hard to invite Putin to Istanbul. If he agrees to come then President
Zelensky will come. And perhaps a peace treaty is possible.
But the Pentagon
and the EU don’t want peace between Russia and Ukraine. In reality this war is
a proxy war between Russia and the U.S./EU. Unfortunately innocent Ukrainians
and Russian soldiers are paying the price.
The U.S./EU
want to prolong the war and are pushing Turkiye to side with Ukraine. If the U.S./EU
cares so much about Ukrainian people, then why did the U.S. move its embassy
out of Ukraine to Poland?
When the Taliban
won the war in Afghanistan all foreign embassies moved out of Afghanistan, including
the U.S. Despite the danger, Turks did not move their embassy out of
Afghanistan. I think the U.S. should have done the same thing in Ukraine.
How
ironic it is to have such policy. But the western media will not tell the truth
about the Russian/Ukrainian war. Putin is threatened. Why? Because of the U.S.
building biological labs in the Ukraine and encouraging Ukraine to join NATO.
That was the red line for Russia. In addition so was the installation of warheads
right the doorsteps of Russia.
If we
remember anything in the past we must remember the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis
when the Soviet Union deployed warheads to Cuba. What did President Kennedy do?
Full alert to world war.
Now, how is it this scenario any different than the 1962 crisis?
